Experience
Assisted in conversion of the steam turbine crude oil tanker into FSO tanker at Keppel Shipyard dry dock Singapore which was later stationed as FSO Endeavour at Py3 oil field Pondicherry. And served as 1st engineer onboard FSO Endeavour for 1year.
During this conversion I was instrumental in improving the fuel efficiency of the ship at low power operation and reducing the ships electrical load and improving the maintenance standards. Efficiently liaised with dockyard working team to get higher standard of work output. Dry dock inspection of propeller and shafting, under water sea valves, under water hull inspection and cleaning, maintenance inspection and repairs of generator steam turbines and main turbines, installation of 1000kw caterpillar diesel generator set, etc.
Experienced in operation and maintenance of rotating machineries, turbo
generators, turbo driven pumps, diesel generators, life boat engines. Firefighting equipments etc. Training the engine room staff regarding safe working practices onboard oil tankers and preventing environmental pollution.

• 4 years apprenticeship at INS Shivaji, Lonavla (Indian Naval Engineering training establishment) 1974 to 1978.
• Certificate of competency as 2nd class Engineer steam issued by the Govt. of India MMD Date of Issue 28-04-1988, Date of latest Revalidation 05-04-2011, COC No 95x-6803.
• Specialized training certificate on oil tanker operations Date of Issue Jan 2002.
• Tanker safety course Date of Issue 15-10-1993
• Survival at sea, Medical first Aid. Advanced firefighting training Date of Issue August 1991.
• STCW up gradation course from 1978 to 1995.
