I am Sivachidambaram Govindarajan, a Marine Engineer holding a UK CoC of Class III/I (OOW- Officer of Watch) currently residing at Dallas, TX. I did my HND in Mechanical Engineering (Marine) in Glasgow, UK. Presently I am working as a 2nd Asst Engineer and serving on board ships from Nov’2004 - till date.

I am looking for a suitable job in marine field in USA. I also hold a valid work permit (EAD) in order to work in USA. I am looking for a suitable position under any of these categories: Marine Surveyor for a Classification Society, Internal Auditor for a Shipping company.

• On regular watch on Main Engines and Boilers simultaneously as Senior in full charge of entire watch.

• Maintained and coordinated repair of marine machinery (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control equipment) and equipment for installation.

• Maintained and operated machineries in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

• Monitored and troubleshot the ship's main propulsion plant, electrical power plant and auxiliary machinery system.

• Supervised the maintenance of purifiers, compressors, hydraulics and marine gears along with the other related equipments.

• Checked, tested, and maintained automatic controls and alarm systems.

• Managed scope of work and man-hour estimating in addition to the regular watch keeping.

• Coordinated the activities of all support departments to ensure that ship support was achieved in the most efficient and in most effective manner.

• Ensured the ship's hull and deck fittings are in sound condition.

• Part of the new delivery team of a vessel during which gained experience in the various surveys pertaining to machineries and the vessel itself.

• Oversaw maintenance, repairs and operation of mission-critical replenishment at sea capability.

• Acted as subject matter expert on SOLAS, MARPOL and followed onboard protocols for prevention of pollution at sea. Enhancement in the ISM code compliance and quality ISO standards.

• Workshop skill such as the use of lathe, drill, milling machine and welding equipment.

• Analyzed vessel damage, product spills, and personal injuries in case of any emergency.
