Objective
I have worked Internationlly and in Australia for the past six years, i am now seeking a new challenge and experience.
I would like to base myself in Europe and im very motivated and excited to start a successful career there.
Experience
2004 - 2007 BP International Shipping as Cadet Engineer, my responsibility was to learn and train with the engineers on board. My achievement was becoming a qualified engineer in 2007. I sailed on a Prouducts tanker, LNG carrier and Crude Carrier at my time there.
2007 - 2009 ASP Shipping Australia, my postions were 3rd Engineer and 2nd Engineer. This was a products tanker with BP cargo. I was responsible for the maintenance of three Diesel generators, a watertube boiler, various pumps, electrical work and assisting other engineers with daily maintenance. My achievement was successfully learning my role and keeping my equipment well maintanied.
Dec 2009 - Jan 2010 Teekay Tankers, my position was 3rd Engineer on a Crude carrier. My responsibilty was Purifers, Boilers, Air Compressors. My achievements was successfully maintaining my equipemnt.
April 2010 - May 2010 Tideway, i was a 2nd Engineer on a Dredging vessel in Australia. My responsibilities was maintaining the Main engine, Purifers and various planned maintenance on board. I was successful in learing the dredging process and keeping my equipment maintained.
Education
Advanced Diploma in Marine Engineering, from the Australian Maritime College.
Certification
Engineer watchkeeper, unlimited.
Oil Tanker endorsement.
Medical first aid at sea.
Personal survival techniques.
Advanced fire fighting.
Advanced oil tanker operations.
Advanced liquefied gas tanker operations.
Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats.
Skils
Over the past six years working on board oil tankers have given me the skills required to be a compentent and successful engineer. I can handle any situation that may arise and all the necessary tools to maintain an engine room.
I will be living in Germany from September 2010 this would make travelling easier i believe.
