Skils


1. CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION:



• Vetting the construction schedule sequence of operation including critical path method network for approval by the Owner



• Monitoring the work, expediting the progress – control with updating revision of networks



• Participating in the inspection, test and trials by the Classification Society



• Undertaking periodical inspection of construction of the ships, equipments and machinery as required



• Carrying out test on equipment, machinery, system and the ship, as necessary and recommending acceptance thereof to the Owner, at appropriate stage and on completion of construction



• Assisting in approval of as fitted drawings



• Co-ordination of compilation / collection / supply of shipboard drawings, documentation, including equipment catalogues, operating manual



• Any other techno-commercial services needed during the construction of the vessel till delivery and acceptance by the Owner



2. RESPOSIBILTIES UNDER MAINTENANCE:

• In charge of the good condition and utilization of the operational equipment on board the vessel Tugs and barges.

• Manage the maintenance crew on board.

• Monitor the daily routine maintenance (reporting to superintendent and Manager).

• Establish the daily check up list and ensure that the maintenance team is following it.

• Make sure that all the spare parts are available on board.

• Follow up the schedules of Tug and Barge Asset.

• Responsible for routine maintenance of Main engine, Auxiliary engine/ Emergency generator engine, Main air compressor, Crane, Winches, Hydraulic units, etc.

• Maintenance of records and inventory of spare parts related to the above Machinery to be kept updated.

• Responsible for carrying out Safety routines.

• Maintenance of records and inventory of welding equipment and Cutting set equipment.

• Responsible for the steel repair and welding jobs on Vessel Tug and Barge.

• Follow the consumption of the spare parts and consumable used by his team, issue the requisition and follow up, to be able to maintain a proper store knowing procurement and delivery issues.

• Establish break down report, and analysis, to ensure that corrective actions have been taken.

• Ensure that all the documentation (Manual, Log book, Parts list) for the equipment on board are available and up to date.

• Documentation: Prepare regular reports on the overall work activities; keep track of all interventions, to be able to implement.

• Attend to the daily managerial meeting.

• Sailed as an owner representative in Anchor handling vessel and maintenance supervision carried and prepared the vessel for annual survey in Saudi Arabia.



3. NATURE OF JOB (AS OWNER REPRESENTATIVE):



• Carrying out the inspection on day to day and reporting the non conformities to shipyard project in charge and classification surveyors to take necessary action and clearing

• Inspection of erection of all engine room machineries and propulsion trains as per drawing and manufacturer specification

• Witnessing the pressure testing of all the tanks along with surveyors

• Inspection of pipelines after installation and witnessing the pressure test and efficiency test of each and every system

• Carrying out DFT check in the tanks along with the paint manufacturer

• Inspection of insulation and outfitting in accommodation as per drawing.

• Attending the basin trials and testing all equipments based on the test report approved by class / shipyard /manufacturer

• Attending the sea trials and reporting the deficiencies


 


. MARINE ENGINEERING:



Duties carried out onboard vessel:



• Main Engine:

Decarb of Pistons, Liner and Piston Clearance check, Exhaust Valve removal, Scavenge Valve Overhaul.



• Auxiliary Machine:

Decarb of Piston, Measurement of Crank Shaft deflection, Tappet Clearance Check, Testing Fuel Injector



• Auxiliary Boiler:

Water Treatment, Fuel Injector Overhaul and Assisting Safety Valve setting.



• Refrigeration:

Charging of refrigerant, Compressor overhaul, Condensers and Evaporator Overhaul



• Air compressor:

Testing and Overhauling of values, Piston Rings
