Marine Engineer

Objective


To trouble shoot and service slow, medium and high speed diesel engines. Also to operate and maintain Marine diesel engines and there auxiliaries.


Experience


Svitzer Americas Ltd 2008 - 2010 (presently)

Working as a second engineer and Chief engineer onboard Svitzer Tug Boats. Working with Caterpillar 3516B Marine Engines.



Caribbean Energy Services Partner (Dr. Bird Power Plant) 2005 – 2008.

Working in the Operations and Maintenance department, monitoring and carrying out maintenance on eleven (11) Wartsila V46 medium speed diesel engines. Maintenance on Generators and Auxiliary Machinery also. Maintenance on electrical machinery.

Advance Fire Fighting. Emergency Procedure, Search and Rescue. Advance Medical First Aid and Medical Care. Competence in Survival Craft.



Wartsila Certificates in Mechanical and Operational training.



Certificate in Marine Engineering (phase1) Basic Safety Training Certificate Certificate in Information Technology Certificate in shielded Metal Arc Welding (S.M.A.W.) and Oxy/

Acetylene Welding (O.W.) Multi-Purpose Rating - Class 3


Skils


A certified and experience welder and a good diesel engine mechanic.


 


I also have experience in operation and maintenance of slow speed Man B&W engines and Caterpillar diesel engines.
