Experience
2003-Present Chief Engineer Harvey Gulf Int.
* Key member of ships alteration to include 6 coastal reels, 4 hydraulic units, shark jaws, popup pins, and a 60 ton BHP winch.
* Supervise and/or perform maintenance of all shipboard equipment, resulting in less down time for the vessel. As well as six USCG and ABS inspections with a total of 8 engine room discrepancies, for all six.
* Implement and maintain ISO, IMO, ISM and SIP programs for the vessel, which allowed better coordinated vessel maintenance.
* Coordinate with vendors for all warranty repairs, as well as coordinating work schedule for subordinates, resulting in a higher level of training and moral.
* Rewrote and established transfer procedures for hazardous material, resulting in more coordinated safety measures for products such as: Barite, Fuel oil, Lube oil, Liquid Mud, Cement, Calcium Bromide, and Methanol.
2001-2003 Chief Engineer Seabulk Offshore, LTD
* Established a troubleshooting and repair maintenance program that allowed for the vessel to be eligible for a long-term contract.
1998-2001 First Assistant Engineer, MAR, INC. (held secret security clearance)
* As First Asst. Engineer onboard Research Vessel Lauren, responsible for successfully changing out a gas turbine engine to the Land Marine 1500 series gas turbine engine.
* Developed and implemented an oil analysis program saving the company approximately $25,000 a year, in the analysis of wear and internal parts breakdown.
1993-1997 Gas Turbine Technician, United States Navy (held secret security clearance)
* Maintained, collected, prepared, and supervised Navy Oil Analysis Programs onboard the USS Barry. Performed viscosity tests on oils, centrifugal and flash point test on fuel oils for LM 2500 gas turbines; K-17 Gas turbines, Quincy air compressors, and Reintjes reduction gears. Successfully determining preventative maintenance required for equipment longevity. Received the Navy’s Admirals letter for the successful completion of this maintenance program.
