Highly skilled and trained in vessel maintenance and repair in order to meet any and all operational commitments. Management

Strong leader, in belief that a strong team helps build a strong leader that the team can believe in and trust in order to insure the task at hand is completed and meets or exceeds all commitments. Capable of building strong teams for maximum use of personnel resources. Was selected as Chief Engineer for the first production and most advanced patrol boat contracted by the U.S. Coast Guard from a civilian ship yard. Helped establish requirements and guide lines for future patrol boats. Implemented maintenance programs, parts/supply inventories, emergency/safety and qualification procedures. Scheduled and conducted training throughout my many years in the military and the civilian sector from personnel matters to law enforcement. Performed duties as liaison between enlisted/officer corp. while in service. Conducted home owner orientations between construction managers/home owners and subcontractors. Performed duties as contract officer between U.S. Coast Guard and ship yards/facility contractors to ensure the U.S. government is properly represented as per drafted contracts. Evaluated military personnel and civilian contractor for future contract bids for vessel’s or facilities.

Technical Ability

With 21 years of training as a machinery technician in the U.S. Coast Guard and retiring as a Chief Engineer has provided me with a vast array of experience and knowledge in troubleshooting, repair and rebuilding of diesel/gas main propulsion engines, generator sets, transmissions, reduction gears, pumps, water/oil/fuel purification systems and hoisting equipment (hydraulic/electrical) . After numerous tours onboard sea going vessel and land units which encompassed yard periods and facility construction has helped me move into the residential/commercial construction industry after retirement which enabled me to read and determine proper/incorrect blue prints
