WORK EXPERIENCE:
All my seaman activity with DSC LLC (Dec 1999 - November 2002) was onboard oil/chemical tankers. I took over as a 2nd Engineer a new build "Gulf Grace" spending 3 month before delivery in OKPO - Korea Shipyard and later working as a 2nd and C/E onboard. From January 2003 until December February 2005 I was working in the office for the same type of vessels.
More than 5 years experience on providing management supervision and coordinate with ship’s staff, for safe and efficient operation, maintenance and all types of repairs including dry-docking, survey certification of the company’s owned chartered and managed ships.
Working in organizations with operating Budgets of more than USD 50 Millions, with a sea staff of approximately 400.
Active involvement as Owner’s representative for a new building projects of 4 x 6200 DWT Oil Tankers, in terms of technical construction details and contract variations.
Carried out technical inspections of survey records, log books, machineries and hull, of vessels to be chartered or purchased by company. Prepare detailed monthly reports on ships’ performance, condition, expenditures and present results to the Management.
Prepare preliminary annual repairs / supply budgets for recommendatory approvals to the Management. Conduct Safety audits of chartered and managed fleet. Available 7 days a week 24 hours a day for technical assistance and response to shipping incidents and emergencies.
Computer skills at operational level with operational hands on experience for technical software i.e. Star-IPS, Amos, Doctor Engine, Class assigned websites and various Microsoft Office based software’s.
Collecting & building data base and implementation of new PMS for a fleet with 20 different sizes oil tanker company (STAR IPS – Norway).
Direct involving and participating in forming, opening and operating a new passenger ship/mega yacht management company. Obtaining all necessary preliminary DOC, ISM and ISPS documents in conjunction with Class and associates.
Established good contacts and relationships with Associates, Employees of other Departments / Division (level), Government Officials (level), Ship Agents, Contractor including ship yards.
Special business relationships established with LLOYD’S and DNV Classification Societies in UAE and overseas.
Active delegate as company representative for various seminars and conferences with Marine’s Technical and Management topics (SIS MARINE, AALBORG, WARTSILA, FRAMO, ABS, LLOYD’S).
