AREAS OF EXPERIENCE
Sailed on Ocean Going/Great Lakes vessels in capacity of 3 A/E (Diesel Any Horsepower). Performed the following repairs and maintainence : Shipboard Lube/Diesel Oil Purifiers , disassembly and cleaning ; Main Engines/ Catapillar Generators , routine maintainence ie changed fuel and lube oil filters ,changed oil, replaced engine parts when possible for one man to achieve . Assisted in completing any major repairs to same.
Main Engines: Pulled pistons, replaced rings, adjusted fuel rack components, ie pump , rack settings, replaced governors; valves; starters etc.
Electrical : Served on Ocean Going vessels for many years as Chief Electrician , Have varied experience with A/C , D/C motors (bearing changes,wiring ) etc. Troubleshooting : Controllers: Generators : Reefer Cooling Systems : Electrical Gauges : Galley Equipment :Lighting : Plus a variety of other Electrical Components.
