Objective


I am looking for a Chief or Assistant engineering position with equal time on and off. If travel is included I am willing to work almost anywhere. If travel is not included I will be looking to find employment on the east coast of the US.


Experience


Chief Engineer: Fairfield Industries 7/6/07 to Present



Chief engineering officer on board a seismic research vessel. Responsible for the engineering department and its members, all preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment monitoring, and record keeping. Practical experience with the following systems:

• 4000 HP, Caterpillar 3512B main propulsion diesel plant

• 200 KW, Caterpillar 3306 generators

• Hydraulic crane and buoy retrieval system

• Reverse Osmosis desalinization plant



Chief Engineer: Reinauer Transportation Companies 10/05 to 7/5/07

Sole engineering officer on board conventional and ATB tug boats. Responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment monitoring, and record keeping. Practical experience with the following systems:

• 2000 to 4300 HP, EMD main propulsion diesel plants

• 3500 HP, Caterpillar 3512 main propulsion diesel plant

• Intercon pinning system for ATBs

• 105 KW, Detroit diesel generators

• Markey Towing winch

• 120 KW, John Deer diesel generators

• Wintech 50 ton barge winches



3rd Assistant Engineer: Military Sealift Command

6/02 to 10/05

Officer in charge of the watch on board Kaiser, Kilauea, Mercy, and Sirius classes of steam and diesel vessels. Officer in command of a damage control party for emergency response and fire fighting. Responsible for engine room preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment monitoring, and record keeping. Practical experience with the following systems:

• 34,442 HP, Colt-Pielstick main propulsion diesel plant

• 11,420 HP, Wallsend-Sulzer main propulsion diesel plant

• 17,250 HP & 24,500 HP, Hi-Pressure steam plants with GE turbines

• 2,500 KW, Bergen diesel generators

• 2,000 KW, Caterpillar diesel generators

• 3,000 KW, GE steam turbine generators

• 2,500 KW, Siemens power take-off generators

• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

• Lube Oil • Fuel Oil • Salt-water Service

• Electrical Service, 440 AC volts.

• Hydraulics • Pneumatics • Sewage Treatment

• Evaporators at 30 tons of water/day • Feed water

• Fire main



Nuclear Valve Research Engineer:

Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station

Plymouth, Massachusetts 3/00 to 8/01



Responsible for researching and compiling all known information on each of the 750 air-operated valves in the nuclear plant
