I report to Chief Engineer.
My job content includes the following –
Administration of Engine Room:
In charge of all Operational & Maintenance Activities in Engine Room
• Planning all Engine room jobs.
• Planning for distribution of working hands.
• Preparations and planning for dry docking.
• Training junior engineers as well as engine ratings.
• Maintenance work done according to planned maintenance system.
• Planning & carrying out critical operations such as bunkering, oil transfer, loading, discharging, and dry docking.
• Maintain inter personal relationship within engine room having people from different nationalities.
• Maintaining pollution prevention standards set by international organizations.
• Maintaining inter departmental relationship.
• Maintain records for vetting inspection for oil majors, internal audts, port state control; inspection.
