Employed on regular watch keeping 6 ‘on’ 6 ‘off’ of main engine and auxiliary systems on board an offshore support vessel to oil platforms in the North West shelf of Western Australia. Also worked on Semi-submersible platforms such as Sedco 702 and Ocean Bounty. Also worked on dredging vessels.

Skils


• Operations and Maintenance – Coordinate and ensure that all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment maintenance and repair is done in a safe and prudent manner. Ensure compliance to Company policies, local and international regulations relating to the operation of the vessel, and current pollution regulations stated in MARPOL 73/78. Monitor the power plants controls and power distribution. Ensure that the permit to work system is in place and followed. Participate in the effective management of the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure all records are maintained on a timely basis. Operate, maintain and repair as necessary the engine cooling water system, lube oil system, and fuel system


 


• Safety – Fully conversant on a management level of MARPOL 73/78, STCW 95, ISPS code, IMDG code and SOLAS convention. Comfortable with procedures for dealing with paints/solvents, confined spaces, damage control, organizational and advanced fire fighting, use of equipment and protective clothing and have current Marine First Aid, Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting and Survival at Sea Certificates. Also holding LNG, Chemical and Petroleum Tanker Safety Certificates. Routine AMSA sea going medicals have been performed with no complications. I have current MSIC and HUET cards aswell.
