Beakdowm survey/Casulty investigation/Auditing/General ship inspection and survey
Experience
First 11yrs from 1970 - 1982 I sailed in various kinds of ships and become chief engineer in 1977.
FRom 1982 - 2003 I worked in Indian Maritime Safety administration as dy Chief Surveyor.
In my long 20yrs of surveying career I had an exposers of both ship inspection and industry which manufacture marine equipment their inspection etc.I had carried out casulty investigation as well as formal investigation in court.Conducted engineer's examination both written and oral.
Carried out ISM auditing in Indian flag vessel.
I had represented India on MEPC committee meeting at IMO,London from 44th to 47th meeting.I have aslo conducted a UNDP project on Ballast water from 2000 to 2003.
These are my few achievment on my shipping career.after that I again went for sailing as chief engineer from 2004 to 2007.
Education
I have graduated from Calcutta University in science in 1966
I also did diploma in mechanical engineering in 1969
Certification
Completed my 1st class certificate of competancyin 1976.
Completed Exta-First class certificate of competancy in 1981 from U.K.
Skils
I have a skill for detail ship inspection in terms of aquisation/survey/damage etc
casulty investigation is also another ares of skill which I execute throughly
I am in a position to take any challange pertaining to ship's operation/Survey/Casulty investigation/Failure analysis/Auditing etc
