Objective
Experenced Marine Engineer seeks challenging seagoing position temporary or perminant.
Experience
Experenced on steam and motor vessels to 40,000 horsepower. and many different types of specialized craft including naval vessels, dive boats, factory ships, troopships, tankers, OSV's, anchor handling and fishing vessels and tugs.
Have served as chief engineer (DDE) or assistant engineer on vessels with a wide variety crews & responsibilities.
Familar with ships systems including hydraulic, propulsion, compressed air, electrical and others. Can troubleshoot and repair from drawings and ships plans. Superior welding and metal fabrication skills.
Education
SCCC Maritime Training Center Seattle WA. 2~years Marine Engineering, various diciplines, graduated Deans list.
SSCC~6 months,..special topics in welding and metal fabrication for marine applications.
WA State Fire Training Academy~ Basic and Advanced Marine fire fighting.
Hazwopper training.
Oilfield saftey training.
Certification
U.S.C.G. licensed DDE Unlimited horsepower, Assistant Engineer ltd. oceans.
QMED:any rating.
Skils
Welding including: SMAW, Oxy/fuel, plasma, & Air gouging, and others.
Can operate cranes and fork lifs.
Can train crews in safety and responsible use of ships systems, conduct safety meetings etc.
