Responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of pressure transmitters, temperature sensors/transmitters, multi-speed motor controllers variable frequency drives, building controls, lighting and virtually anything electrical aboard ship.



2001-2002 U.S. Merchant Mariner Norfolk, VA

Title: Deck Engineer Machinist

Maintenance, repair and replacement of deck/cargo handling equipment primarily consisting of cranes, elevators, winches and pumps, most of which involved the use of hydraulics, pneumatics, or a combination of both. The desired results were affected via the use of machine tools (lathes, mills), hand tools and welding.
