30 Years, including, as chief engineer, Alaska commercial fishing, (crabber, trawler, longline, processor, surimi, refeer freighters, tenders, shore plant freeze engineer) Commercial towing, inland & offshore, drillships, superseiners, drill platforms, tugboats, survey ships, barges, seismic, dive assist, yachts.
Education
2 years marine engineering college, 30 years thru the hawsepipe, half of that in the Bering Sea.
Certification
U.S.C.G. License, chief Engineer, expired. STCW 2002.
Skils
Hands on experience fabricating, welding, freezing, pipefitting, diesel rebuilding, eng. room operation since 1975
I am a highly skilled & experienced marine operating engineer, and for personal reasons, do not want to work more than 4-5 months a year, my license of 4000 HP, Motor & fishing, is expired, I don't do winters in Alaska any more. I have been working on undertonnage tow boats in the Gulf of Mexico for the past 2 years, looking for somewhere to apply my multi-talented sea-skills. Licensed since 1979 as Chief Engineer
