Upon Immigrating to the United States in 2007, I joined AKER PHILADELPHIA SHIPYARD as a Test and Commissioning Engineer for a short period of time. Immediately after, I was offered a position as full-time Marine Engineer/Expert Estimator with Caddell Dry Dock. I have a BS in Marine Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic which is one of the best technology universities in Iran. The degree has been approved by USFC as the equivalent to a BS in Marine Engineering from the US. I’ve extensive marine industrial and shipping background in my career life.
While in school I completed my final project for the design of the Offshore Supply Vessel structure and its machinery foundations. I then passed my training course in the Persian Gulf Shipyard Co. in Bandar Abbas for 6 months. I’ve been in the Iranian Navy Factory Design Department for manufacturing and design and remodeling of merchant and navy ships in part of their hull structures, machinery’s equipment, the foundations and the pipelines.
I joined the merchant navy fleet as ship engineer and ship owner's representative from 1997-2005 and worked around the world for multi-national companies for 8 years. I completed my 2nd Class Marine Engineer Officer Course (ST WC95) and related courses in Glasgow College of Nautical Studies in U.K.
In addition, I’m familiar with naval architecture, marine engineering, steel structures, power plant, combustion engines, estimating, damage report, underwriting and also I have experiences in design according on to registration and classified companies (e.g. ABS, Lloyd's, Rena, B.Veritas) which have practical rules and regulations for manufacturing of marine structures.
My desire salary is negotiable regarding on job tasks and duties. Also I have green card...I awarded it in the 2007 diversity visa program (lottery). I’m looking for the opportunity to prove myself in the industrial field or
