Marine Engineer, chief or comporable

Objective


Management or supervisor position ie.. Chief Engineer with a company working in or around the coastal U.S. preferably south east.


Experience


7 years sailing deep sea as licensed engineer. 7 years sailing as QMED any rating. 8 years industrial trades worker as a 1st class shipfitter, pipefitter, 6G welder and steel fabricator. In and around the ship repair, new construction or power generation feild. 5 years U.S. Navy (honorable discharge).


Education


Basic and advanced studies in marine engineering. RTM Star center for maritime training, Harry Lundenburg School of seamanship. U.S. Navy Hull Technician 'A' & 'C' school. Orange Park High School.


Certification


Hold U.S.C.G. and Marshall Islands 1st asst. Engineer license motor or gas turbine any horsepower. S.T.C.W. 95, T.W.I.C., Universal refrigeration, Fast rescue boat, lifeboat, Advanced firefighting, Small Arms, MSC Helo Ops.

6G welding cert.


Skils


Have a good knowledge of engineering principles and theory. Have worked on many different types of ships under all positions from oiler to 2nd engineer. Mostly medium speed or small deisel electric plants. Very good mechanical ability to perform most engineroom related duties.
