2008-2009 International Paper/Industrial Technical Services

Electrician/Instrument Tech



Supported paper mill in upgrades including the removal and replacement of control panels. This service included the installation upgrade of systems controlling operation of various machines. This service also included the set0-up and calibration of associated instruments.



2007 Mississippi River Corporation

Maintenance Electrician/Instrument Tech



Maintained the nations only food-grade pulp mill in the nation. Performed duties such as troubleshooting, installation and termination of a.c. and d.c. motors including their respective MCC’s. Duties also included installation and calibration of various instrumentation including pressure, temperature, and ph transmitters. Removed, replaced, and calibrated various types of valves with their respective actuators.



2004 Delta Process Equipment

Electro-Mechanical Technician



Performed electrical and mechanical repair on submersible grinder pumps, including their respective controls. Served as warranty repair technician for Barnes Pumps, Inc. Duties included replacement of motors, motor bearings, and mechanical seals. Also served as primary field technician.



2003 Edwards Electric Service

Start up technician; Cement plant



Duties included check-out and commissioning of instrumentation, high and low voltage motors and their associated controls. Duties also included reading of prints and schematics for trouble shooting purposes. Assisted clients with plant operation until job completion.



2002 Nepco

Journeyman Electrician; Steam Power plant



Duties included but not limited to termination of instrument cables, both field-

side and I/O cabinet. Make-up and termination of high and low voltage motors

and transformers. Complete layout of motor and chemical skids including installation of conduit, junction boxes, transformers and associated supports.

1999-2001 Friede-Goldman Offshore

Marine Instrumentation Commissioning Technician; Oil rig



Served as commissioning technician, mainly for instrumentation, but also for

various other electrical systems. My duties also included in the direct support

of several vendors during commissioning procedures. I was also solely

responsible for the calibration and commissioning of all hydraulic and pneumatic valves and actuators inside both pontoons of the oil rig which I was assigned



1996-1999 United States Marine Corps

Navigational Electronics Technician



Responsibilities included the electronic maintenance of sophisticated govern- ment navigational equipment. Troubleshooting electronic equipment down to the module and component level. Repairing circuit boards, soldering and desoldering micro components, and final calibration. I was also responsible

for the ordering and maintaining inventory of parts and electronic supplies. Additional duties performed were the training and instruction of students in my area of expertise. I was also awarded a letter of commendation by the commanding officer of Naval Air Station Pensacola for my duties performed while stationed there.
