Experience
Senior Electrical Designer from January 1999 to April 2007. Companys included AMSEC, CDI Marine and Gibbs & Cox. Shipchecked U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard marine vessels' electrical systems. Marine vessels included CVN, LHD, LPD, LCC, LSD, AOE and LCU Class ships and also the USCG BARQUE EAGLE. Developed AutoCAD drawings for Marine Systems Corporation (MSC), Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Boston Detachment (PSNSBS), USCG , Royal Australian Navy, Taiwanese Navy and Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). Edited Tech Manuals and Ships' Information Books for NNSY. Conducted Predeployment Power Survey and wrote detailed report for AIMD Shops onboard USS Truman.
Maintenance Electrician for St. Laurent Paper Products Corp. in West Point, VA from March 1996 to January 1999. Completed training course required of all maintenance electricians. Performed regular preventive maintenance on pulp and paper producing equipment and machinery. Installed and/or trouble shot systems/equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLC's), variable frequency drives, data highways, precipitator controls, gas turbine controls and various field controls.
Marine Electrician from Feburary 1984 thru March 1996 for Newport News Shipbuilding. Installed and tested various electrical systems on CVN, AOE, TAH, CGN and DD Class ships and on Los Angeles Class submarines. Systems installed and /or tested include JP-5 Pump Rooms, Arresting Gear, Flight Deck Lighting, Avionics Shops, Galley Equipment and Weapons Elevators.
