Be a mechanician maintaining auxillary systems.
Experience
Currently in the SA Navy and have been for 12 years. The first 3 and half years were spent studying. Presently Head of Section for Propulsion Section. Responsibilities include maintaining the propulsion engines, which are MTU 16V 1163 TB 93,managing my sub-ordinates ensuring they carry out their work correctly, projecting maintenance periods and ordering all stores and spares. We have a Gas Turbine LM 2500 onboard as another means of propulsion which I have exposure too.My ship is the MEKO A200 Patrol Corvette which is fully automated therefore being the senior auxillay watchkeeper I am conversant with computer management and monitoring sytems.
