I have been working as a Chief Engineer since 1981. I have spent the last 17 years on factory trawlers and have developed a management style that includes extensive organization of the individual vessel components for their service, history and spare part inventory. This allows the vessel to maintain all of its individual machinery on a run time basis helping to prevent unplanned down time of the vessel operations. I have extensive back ground knowledge of all equipment related to these large complex vessels and have developed very excellent trouble shooting skills to quickly identify and repair problems that may develop. I am primarily interested in obtaining a position as Port Engineer. This would allow me to use the experience that I have gained over the past years to organize and maintain a companies vessels to reduce their operating costs and vessel down time. I would also be available to sail as a Chief Engineer for ocean going vessels.
