This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, quantification of goods and services. Wide knowledge of bulk carriers, oil and gas tankers, Chemical Tankers. Experience
1) From August 2010 to Till Date:-
Presently working as PSD/FSD. Fuel Associate at one of the Biggest Fuel Fob in Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan (American Marine base)
2) From Oct 2006 to July 2010:-
Working as Senior Surveyor for INDIAN OIL CORPARATION in New Mangalore Port and MRPL Mangalore through Lardner North & Co. (Marine Cargo Surveyors Consultants, Loss Assessors Technical Consultants)
I worked in oil/ petroleum storage terminals and handled various operations within terminals and tank farms like tanks, receipt and delivery pipelines, gantry, jetty and all other planning based on MRPL refineries, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL tank farms. The job also included management of storage terminals, operations, bunkering, staff recruitment, jetty management, All the commercial activities associated in places like India, All types of petroleum such as MOTOR ,JET FUEL, bitumen and chemicals, edible oils were handled during the tenure. Independently managed activities such as ship loading/ unloading, bunkering, quality control, storage, tank cleaning, bulk stock accounting, stock loss etc.
3) From July 2003 to Sep 2006:-
Worked as surveyor for HINDUSTAN PETROLEM in New Mangalore Port and MRPL Mangalore through Poseidon Technical Services Pvt Ltd. (Marine Surveyors & Loss Assessors).

Responsibilities:
• Pre-Shipment Surveys of project cargo.
• Suitability Condition Survey of Dry Bulk and General Cargo Carriers
• Pre-Shipment Inspection and loading supervision of cargo including securing and stowage arrangements.
• Draught Surveys (Displacement Calculation) for cargo quantification.
• On & Off Hire Condition Surveys.
• Bunker quantification Surveys.
• Physically sounding and temp of all Bunker tanks of fuel oil, Diesel oil and Lube oil.
• Prepare Bunker surveying Report
• Discussion with the ship Capt. & Chief Officer regarding the loading or discharging of the petroleum products and what type of cargo was loaded in previous port.
• Inspection of all the tanks for slug or water sediments by UTI and also the IG pressure.
• Check the Drafts, monitor and guide the connection of ship holds along with the Chief Officer and pass on the information to the ship Capt. & Terminal Manger to start the loading or discharging of the Cargo.
• Guided and operated a liquid storage terminal consisting of a tank farm, dock, truck transfer rack, and rail car loading yard, OIL tankers as well as monitor pipeline operations.
• Complete all paperwork associated with liquid bulk transfers
• Monitor the transfer of liquid material between marine vessels and the Terminal.
• Assure the safety of all personnel in the area while conducting material transfers
• Responsible to receive, store and issue the product in accordance with company Standards and fuel testing manual.
• Responsible to perform hot and cold refueling of various types.
• Responsible for daily control of product quality received and issued, through, API and Gravity testing, Temperature, Visual Fuel Sampling and Additive testing using appropriate techniques.
• Required to perform operational maintenance & pre maintenance check service on all FARP and Fuel tanker trucks an relevant equipment (filter separators, fuel pumps, storage tanks, Nozzles and strainers, fuel pressure gages, fuel meters, hoses, valves etc.),.
• Be accountable for all daily fuels issued and received on the appropriate form as requested by the client.
• Gauge daily tanks for estimated amount.
