May 2012 CIRI CORPORATION DBA PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND GLACIER TOURS Captain aboard high speed Westport 95ft 155 passenger vessel operating 6 hour daily cruises out of Whittier, AK. in Prince William Sound from May to September 2011.

FLEET MANAGER/OPERATIONS MANAGER – Managed all operations for the nation’s leading leisure yacht leasing company. Reported directly to owner. Assured proper care and leasing of a 100-vessel fleet located in Seattle and Anacortes. Hired, trained, and supervised captains to provide requisite training to clients prior to their taking possession of the vessels. Assured all vessels were in compliance with Coast Guard and maritime regulations. Resolved problems with vessel owners, clients, and other parties. Coordinated rescue and damage repair.
Conducted detailed incident investigations and negotiated settlements. Recognized for exceptional negotiating skills, diplomacy, and results. Actively participated in sales and marketing efforts. Acted as technical resource during corporate sales events. Responded to prospective clients technical inquiries regarding operations, legal, insurance, and mechanical issues. THE MOSQUITO FLEET, Everett, Washington 1994 to 1998 SENIOR CAPTAIN – Managed all operations of a 90-foot 150-passenger Charter, Passenger ferry and whale watching vessel in Puget Sound, Westport Wa., and also Canadian waters. . Conducted educational cruises and provided informative programs and presentations. Trained and supervised crew. Assured all systems were maintained and operational. Navigated potentially hazardous routes and maintained a 100% safety record. Immediately resolved passenger and operating problems and concerns. Maintained excellent relationships with local and federal jurisdictions. Developed reputation for leadership, organizational skills, and customer service abilities. Continued as relief Captain through 2003.
SPIRIT CRUISES, SPIRIT OF PUGET SOUND, Seattle, Washington 1990 to 1992 OPERATIONS MANAGER – Directed all operations of this daily enter¬tainment and charter cruise company. Hired trained and supervised a management team with a combined 70-person workforce. Developed and implemented annual operating budget. Created and implemented policies, procedures and operations manuals to comply with all regulations. Effectively scheduled and navigated various routes throughout the Northwest. Assured systems were operational and well maintained. Reported directly to General Manager. Consistently provided safe and enjoyable events for up to 600 passengers. Won corporate Manager of the Year (Seattle) award for managing the most efficient opera-tion in the fleet.

I have grown up on the waters in the Pacific Northwest and operated vessels since I was very young. I have over 30 years experience as a Captain delivering vessels and operating private yachts and charter vessels and small passenger ships in Washington, British Columbia, alaska, and the Columbia and Snake Rivers in Washington and Oregon.
I work with with all levles of management and enjoy training crew and managing staff.
