Accountable for moving chemicals such as Linear Alkyl Benzene, Caustic Soda, and Epichlorohydrin from the factory to the port and arrange to ship by sea.

Supervised the movement of about 225,000 metric tons (495,000 Pounds) per year of chemicals by road, rail and sea and about 6 chemical tankers per year to move Linear Alkyl Benzene and other chemicals and coordinated the interchange with various regulating authorities.

Enhanced procedures for logistics department for ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.

Collaborated with suppliers and shipping companies for chemical tankers to import 60,000 metric tons (132,000 Pounds) of easy chemicals to hazardous chemicals on chartering terms and conditions on” cost and freight “cargoes, including documentation and customs clearance.

Applied “Reverse Auction” for the movement of Caustic Soda lye.

Improved a process module on marketing, sales and distribution, and a module for export for SAP consultants

Coordinated with third party logistics (3 PL) for ISO tank containers, dry bulk containers, air cargo, and surface transportations.

Oversaw interchange of raw material and 95,000 metric tons of finished goods based on the requirement of marketing, 120,000 metric tons of raw materials as per inventory controller and purchase departments by road and sea via tank terminals at port.

Developed process model for Surface and Sea transportation, Warehousing, and Cargo handling at Portside for logistics.

Key Accomplishments:

Administered transportation of hazardous cargo (Epichlorohydryne – IMO – 6.2) in bulk- 2 shipments of 1200 metric tons each by road, rail to a specified tank terminal across the country to store and export by specialized chemical tanker - The first ever export of IMO 6.2 cargo in the country.

Handled about 200 chemical tankers of small to medium size with a minimal demurrage incident of 6.

Logistics cost was reduced to 7% and 4% as compared to the national average of 10%.
