CAREER HISTORY:
01/04 – 08/07 CAPITAL SHIPPING & TRADING Constanta, Romania.
General Manager
• Established and built the company which had a turnover of over $1 million.
• Managed 180 – 200 direct employees including office clerks and officers bound to tanker vessels.
• Built seafarers’ data base of 11,000 crew and created a large network within Romania.
• Recruited professional ship personnel (officers only).
• Trained recruited personnel in respect to ISM and SMS and safety requirements aboard tanker and bulk vessels..
• Organized full logistics for crew transportation, vessels’ spares, bunkers, and provision supplies (i.e. air/sea/roads).
• Attended all vessel operations and for Capital Ship Management Corp. on their calls in the port of Constanta.
• In October 2005 I sold Capital Shipping & Trading to Messers Capital Ship Management Corp. The new owners requested to keep my position as General Manager and Greek Owners’ Representative in Romania.
• In August 2007, I resigned in order to join my wife in Florida.

• Travelled world wide as superintendent attending Captains at loading/discharging operation of T/C vessels. Dealt with Port Authorities of various ports, worldwide,
• Attended bunker surveys and pre-purchasing inspection issuing relevant reports on vessels of interest - E.S.T.C. and C.S.M.C.
• Succeeded where others failed, enhancing the coefficient of loading capacity of vessels, optimizing bunkers’ consumptions by direct monitoring and dealing with Masters and Ch. Engineers, reducing vessels’ stay under operation at ports, dealt with attending agents, resolving litigious matters.

• Dealt with Master General and Port Disbursement account matters. I saved the company $ 1.7 million within one year by controlling crews’ O/T and dealing with vessels’ agents, worldwide .
