Continue my career in a management position within the maritime industries. Background is quite varied and has included many vocations within the industry not limited to ships officer, shore based superintendent, business manager, consultant/surveyor, project manager and current employment as marine techincal specialist (investigator) for prominent maritime law firm (past 7 years).
Experience
2003 to present: Marine Technical Specialist for large Miami based maritime law firm. Principal work for worlds major insurers and P&I clubs. Accident investigations, salvage work, regulatory and legal assistance.
2003: Manager for fleet of large yachts, Florida based yacht management company with worldwide clientèle. (left this position for current employer)
1996 - 2002: President/General Manager Argo Marine Services, consulting, surveying and project management company. Also President Argo Ship Management engaged marine chartering and offshore marine towing.
1994 - 1996 President / General Manager Florida Marine Towing. Assumed managers position of failing company and within 18 months converted it to a profitable enterprise. Recommended to owners to then sell company at fair market value due to pending changes in the local marine market.
1990 - 1994 Florida Fuels Inc.: Marine Superintendent, managed fleet of non-US flag oil tankers trading in USA and Caribbean. Also managed US-Flag tug and barge operation in US Gulf.
1987 - 1990 Captain: Large yachts.
1979 - 1987: Captain / Mate, various deep drafts ships and specialty vessels, worldwide.
