Experience


Heritage Oil and Gas London, 2003 to date, technical director, design of shipyrd friendly semisub and buoyant reel ship for hazardous areas.

Conoco Belanak FPSO, 2001 to 2003, England and China. Approved equipment for installatioon of mooring spread. Approved deep-suction, 10000 tonnes per hour seawater cooling system.


Education


BSc(Eng) PE Fellow Institute of Engineers and Shipbuilders in Scotland

Enginefitter, Barclay Curle and Co Glasgow, five year apprenticeship.

Seagoing engineer officer, two years.

Professional Engineer, registered in California, 1970.

Proven ability to provide simple, practical design for ocean machinery, including semisubmersibles, deep sea moorings, steel catenary risers.

Inducted to Institute of Shipbuilders for the development of the shipyard friendly Multi-Purpose Semisubmersible (MPSS).

Inventor of Apache, revenue of this exceeds six billion dollars since its invention in 1975.

Computer literate, Autocad 2000, Sketchup5, Excel, Mathcad, etc.


 


Senior engineering positions in major projects, including, Hughes Glomar Explorer, Sant Fe Apache, Conoco Hutton TLP, Dome Petroleum Semisubmersible, Balmoral FPV semisubmersible, Seaways Engineering Multi-Purpose Semisubmersible with steel catenary riser system (1988), Heritage Oil and Gas buoyant-reel ship.
