Experience
I have a rich 27 years Engineering experience in the Technical field of Electrical/ mechanical. With 1st class education background including BE Electrical degree in 1978, I started my career in technical Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1979.
Mainly worked as Maintenance & Planning Engineer. I have supervised the repair/ maintenance & testing of electrical motors(LT & HT), generators( Up to 1000KW), and to some extend transformers of medium capacity. These machines are mainly of industries and that of naval ship and dockyard. Has also carried out Project Management regarding overhauling of electrical machines & equipment and communication system at MOD. Performed Training function as well as administrative /security duties. Visited no of countries. After retirement from Navy as Captain I pursued my career in various multinational companies. Developed vast horizon & communication skills by visiting various countries and meeting qualified personnel. Presently at Al Fanar Technical Services Jubail as Electrical Engineer.

1. Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from NED Engineering University Karachi (1978).

1. Completed 6 months course in UK on electrical motors, Generators, Motors starters, Switchboard & internal communication/electronic equipment at Royal Naval. This includes On Job Training at Royal Naval Dockyard Plymouth UK.

3. Specialization course on Electrical machines at Engineering College Karachi(1 year).
Skils
a. Electrical Engineer at Al Fanar Technical Services Saudi Arabia (Oct 2007-May 2009)
Planning & Coordinating Engineer. Prepared plan after checking the job requirement and time schedule with consultation of customer. Executing the all schedule work as planned specially witnessing testing of machinery with customer. Also assisted to prepare estimate & quote/tender for various types of LT/HT motors, generators, transformers including power Transformers and has achieved desired success rate. Our customers include Saudi Aramco, Sabic, SWCC , Saudi Electricity, MARAFIQ and Ministry of Electricity & Water Qatar & Bahrain as well. Also coordinating other sales and marketing activities.
b. Technical Manager- M/s Pearltec Pakistan Pvt Limited (June 2003 to Sep 2007)
Managed & supervised the repair/maintenance of industrial machines such as generators, motors, breakers, motor starters. Conducted up to 1000 KW Generator's trials after new its installation or overhaul. Also carried out vetting and evaluating technical proposals received from principal to finally get approved from client. I worked on the Projects of M/s Seacor Environment Products USA for supply of special equipments including under water pump for countering oil spill at sea. Also worked on supply of equipment from British Aero Space UK to MOD in Islamabad.
c. Director Technical-Defence Ministry(Nov 1999 to Mar 2003)
From Nov 99-Mar 2003,as Director Technical Logistic, I have carried out Project Management of stand bye power systems for various units and its integrated logistic support at all time for optimum performance. Also involved in induction of new equipment including estimation & costing. Vetting of contract documents specially the technical shortcomings and commercial conditions. Coordination with various echelons of Govt & outside organisations.
d. Maintenace Director at Navy (Feb 1994–Mar 1997)
As Deputy Director Maintenance & Repair at Naval Headquarter (NHQ), I was involved in evaluation/ approval for the repair & maintenance of machinery, equipment, communication systems & weapon systems etc. These also includes turbines, electrical machines, steel structures, pumps & motors. Prepared Repair Contract with International companies like Rolls Royce DML UK etc Carried out technical vetting and evaluation to select new equipment /systems. Attended High level meetings/discussion & presentations.
e. Principal at Technical School (Apr 1997 to Jan 1999)
Performed as Head of Electrical & Apprentice Training School at Naval Unit. Conducted & organized 4 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical technology for Apprentices apart from mid career courses( 1 year or less). Managed /organized number of labs/workshops including Electrical, Electronic, Power Engineering, Computer and Communications systems. Organized technical curriculum and imparted instruction as well. From Mar 99 to Oct 99, carried out Training Inspections & quality checks of such technical units.
f. Electrical Engineer work(On Various dates)
After Basic training & Engineering Graduation ,I performed as Electrical Engineer duties/work at Industrial Units and ships for more than 8 years on different dates. Directing a team of technical artificers and was involved in repair, maintenance and running of Electrical power generators, motors and distribution system, Communication system, servo control systems and protection equipment etc. Ensuring alternate power supply arrangement for critical equipment/system Also delivered lectures & conducted training on Safety requirement to work on Electrical equipment. Conducted live fire fighting on electrical equipment.
Has followed Maintenance Management System(MMS) as per UK standards. Carried out tasks such as, Defect analysis, writing technical reports, carry out inspection & quality checks.
g. Workshop Experience- Industrial Units of Dockyard
More than 3 years, successfully performed as Manager of Electrical shop, Electronic shop and Yard machinery shop. I have directly managed repairs /maintenance and overhaul of electrical generators, motors, switchboard, breakers, communication sets, control systems & etc. Organised and deputed repair team to work on various remote units. Directly supervised main generator's trials after overhaul /repair at site. Evaluated/vetted main defect list of ship's annual/periodical maintenance.
