Responsibilities:

Manage maintenance assistant engineers and technicians. In cooperation with Chief Engineer (Superintendent), responsible for the upkeep, supervision, control and maintenance of electrical installations on rig, platform, offshore power plant and refinery. Day to day and proactive maintenance of automation and instrumentation equipment.

Initiate, implement, and manage the maintenance program with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Prepare job specifications and costings for work involved in a given project.

In charge of all electrical and electro-mechanical equipment, periodical inspection and maintenance.

Position: Electrical Engineer

Company & Location: United Bulk Carriers Oil/Gas, Vancouver, Canada

Responsibilities:

Supervise electrical and electronic services work to develop and prove methods, procedures, and equipment, evaluate, define and locate design deficiencies and to accomplish special project assignments to solve problems of electronic and electrical maintenance, modification and operation

Participate in audits in compliance with ISO standards

Responsible for underway maintenance and operation of engineering automation, instrumentation, communication and navigation, supervises electric power generation and distribution.

Responsibilities:

Head engineer of the maintenance team. Analyze test and rejection history to identify problems and develop equipment, supply, and facility requirements for electronics and electrical work. Perform assigned duties in and around hazardous materials while maintaining a safe working environment with limited amount of supervision instruction or direction.

Supporting engineering operation in all aspects of the operation.

Contribute continuous improvement in HSE –QC/QA performance and ensure safety and environmental standards are maintained within the workplace.  Provide ongoing training to all staff and ensure the appropriate control mechanisms, procedures and processes are developed, implemented and followed.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Commissioning, maintenance and repair of scientific laboratory instruments and related support equipment, including water purification and compressors, autoclaves, bio-freezer and vacuum pumps. Product line includes: Cole-Parmer (U.S.) measurement and control instruments, TECATOR (Sweden) moisture analyzer, RETSCH (Germany) Laboratory mills, JASCO (Japan) spectrophotometers, and JEOL (Japan) Electron microscope.

Ensure that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Ability to work from engineering drawings, schematics, circuit or system diagrams, equipment specifications, technical information and design, manufacturing records and other written or verbal information with limited amount of supervision. Knowledgeable in FMEA (Failure Mode Effect and Analysis) risk/safety management and commissioning procedure.

Provides feedback to Engineering and Vendors to contribute to the continuous improvement of manufactured equipment and test procedures. Proactive maintenance approach.

Initiate, implement, and manage the maintenance program with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. To be familiar with Company system for Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Assurance, relevant documentation and Company policies.

Constantly review the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
