LNG Terminal Professional Experience
QCLNG Terminal, BG Group, 2014 – Present (Marine Superintendent – Loading Master)
Primary Duties include but not limited to: Assisting in the commissioning and start-up the Terminal’s Marine facilities and attended the first cargo. Revise the LNG Tankers' compatibility studies, Participate in pre-arrival correspondences with concerned parties, Supervise Berthing, Mooring and Un-berthing of LNG Tankers, Conduct Pre-load meetings with vessel's senior officers, Carry out Pre-load safety inspection, Follow up on the LNG loading to ensure a smooth, safe operation, Conduct periodical safety inspections, Issuing of cargo documentation, Inspecting contracted service boats such as Passenger ferries, barges and crew boats. Involved in the shipping movement coordination with port authorities and shipping agents.
Idku LNG Terminal, Egyptian LNG, September 2005 – December 2014 (Assistant Marine Manger)
Primary Duties include but not limited to: Assist and deputize the Port Manager on the general day to day operations of the port facility, Carry out the Ship-Shore compatibility studies, utilize the OPTIMOOR program to apply mooring analysis, Monitor performance of Tug boats, Service boats to ensure compliance with port regulations, Apply Radar plotting to vessels within the port limits, Attend the Pre-Load meeting with the vessel’s representatives and review Loading/Cooling down plans, Inspect the LNG carriers’ CCR, Loading, Mooring and safety equipment prior to loading operations, Monitor performance of port facilities equipment and Navigation Aids and report any deficiencies, In charge of corresponding with vessel Masters prior to vessel arrival including exchanging of information, Follow up the daily weather forecast and inform concerned parties, Participate in the internal quality audits for ISO 9001 as a qualified auditor, Maintain HSE culture within the department personnel.Education
• Unlimited Master Mariner certificate with all relevant courses, as required by the “STCW” - Arab Maritime Transport Academy, Alexandria, Egypt – 1997.
• Unlimited Chief Officer certificates with all relevant courses, as required by the “STCW” - Arab Maritime Transport Academy, Alexandria, Egypt – 1992.
• Dangerous cargo endorsements - Liquefied gas Tankers & Crude Oil Tankers. SkilsHighly motivated, team-oriented, strong analytic skills. Ability to identify problems and successfully implement solutions.
