This well-known company has liner agency, freight forwarding and stevedoring biz. They are agents for YANG MING LINE & YES LOGISTICS.
Myself take care & responsible for Liner and Forwarding biz and related matters.
I head a team of 29 multicultural staff. I
-Monitor marketing & sales team, port/ vessel operations, accounts, and all correspondance etc.
-Carry out market demand/ supply research time to time for Saudi in particular, and for Middle east / Red sea in general.
-Target new customers. Prepare biz planning/ presentations & implement strategies to develop market share. Risk management
-Have good relation with big customers, Port, container terminals, vendors other carriers, bodies (govt)
-Provide training programmers to current / fresh staff.
-Have good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Power point, line software and good use of outlook).
I report to A.General Manager & Managing Director.
ACHIEVEMENT:
-Biz increased more than 100% in 2006 compare to 2005. While 2005 had 52% more than 2004.
(This biz had been re-started in 2003 and was zero, while I joined)
-Some of my suggesstions are in consideration to create new biz.
2-Globe Marine (Agents for NORASIA CONTAIER LINE
The company has liner agency and stevedoring biz, and are largest in Saudi . Agents for NORASIA CONTAINER LINE (now CSAVNORASIA).
Head a team of 4 marketing staff. Was responsible for:
-Market research for shipping demand & supply.
-Prepare/ implement biz strategy & planning
-Maintain current & increase biz.
-Establish annual / quarter biz plan.
ACHIEVEMENT: While joining, the biz was almost nothing. When leaving, the biz had increased and the line was considered as medium sized locally.
Used to report line manager.
Reason of Leaving: Internal transfer.
