Terminal Operator / Oiler (August 2013 – Present)

• Test and log all gasoline receipts for benzene, oxygen and RVPE levels (Petrospec fuels analyzer and Grabner) as well as diesel receipts for sulfur content and flashpoint (Sindie 7039 Sulfur in Oil analyzer and Grabner mini-flash FLP).

• Facilitated the Contractor Safety Orientation and weekly Driver Load Safety Awareness Certification class.

• Monitor and replace oil and filters on Vapor Recovery Units, Strainers throughout the terminal, and Pumps.

• Repair and maintain all flow control valves, load rack couplers, product pumps and motors, Turbine and F4-V1 Smith vertical rotary meters, additive injectors, solenoid valves, mechanical set-tops and pre-sets, swivels and all load rack equipment, Top-Tech related equipment, such as replace card readers, all boards and key pads.

• Maintain and repair generators and/or affiliated equipment.

• Dock handling and mooring lines for barge receipts of all brands of distillate products.

• Prepared Declaration of Inspection and all affiliated Coast Guard regulatory paper work prior to and after barge transfers.

• Performed quarterly additive injection calibration and liaised with pipeline/barge sched-ulers. Coordinated with Buckeye, Colonial and KMI pipeline operators before, during and after pipeline receipts in order to ensure proper batch cuts.

• Manage and monitor contractors on all maintenance and capital projects. (Includes pre-task risk and hazard review also to include contractor orientation.)

• Formulate and implement standard operating procedures.



• Ensure compliance with regulatory departmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. (EPA, DOT, DEP, Coast Guard, NY and NJ Fire Depts.)

• Develop and executive emergency response strategies and tactics.



• Participate in facility infrastructure review, new construction and all projects that require change of management.

• Recommend and estimate facility repairs and improvements for inclusion in the annual budget.

Key architect in the design of the Authorization to Work Permit used at all BP facilities including Confined Space Entry Permit and Hot Work Permit. Monitored all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly terminal inspections. Worked closely with Terminal Operators regarding product movement and storage. Managed the expeditious dispatch and distribution of deliveries fairly to prevent station run-outs.

Registered and renewed all truck permits and documentation. Developed, researched, and

delivered all data pertaining to delivery sites on time, including but not limited to safety issues, s.e. standards, delivery restrictions, and station tank capacities.
