Position: Lead Deckhand

Job Description: Worked as deckhand for the first two months of employment, and was quickly moved to lead. The Columbia Queen is a 240’ vessel running 7 day cruses. Execute all exterior painting, cleaning, and maintenance projects with a crew of 7. Keep a detailed daily work log. Teach crew how to handle, splice, and maintain 3 & 8 part lines. Stand bridge watch with four plus hrs helm time each day. Use radars, GPS, chart tracker, and carts to assist navigation.



2/99-1/05 Portland Spirit

Position: Mate/ Engineer

Job Description: Worked as deckhand for the first two years of employment, and as mate/ engineer for the remaining four years. The Portland spirit is 150’ vessel running day trips. Organize the crew of 2-5 to complete their daily routines. Train crew to safely handle lines. Keep engine logs, and perform routine maintenance.
