Objective
I would like to experience the challenge of working on a construction project offshore.
Experience
The past 12 years cleaning/catering/bus driving positions have been with Thiess/Leighton constructions (mine and tunnel construction) and Eurest (ESS)/Spotless (Compass) in mine camp catering. I also have a wide range of office experience to be considered an office administrator.
Education
I completed Year 11 at high school and opted to go trade training with secretarial/commercial certificates instead of completing year 12 - this reflects on my various work experience gained at an early age. I began correspondence courses upon motherhood in 1992 (cooking and catering) and recently in isolated areas while cleaning (MYOB Accounting and Travel and Tourism).
Certification
Diploma Gourmet Cooking and Catering Business
Certificate III Tourism (International Retail Sales - Galileo)
MYOB Accounting - Version II
Skils
My cleaning experience has covered duties in environments at mine camps (catering for 500 men), mine site which required to drive light vehicles amongst heavy earth machinery and underground cleaning in tunnel construction (including mobile tunnel boring machines). I spent 5 years in tunnel construction which primarily completed laundry services for tunnellers - 500 man bath house. I enjoyed transporting shift workers by bus, hold a heavy combination truck license and have trainee operator experience on CAT 793 and Komatsu 830e Dump Trucks. My administration skills cover a wide range but basically I have enjoyed the financial rewards and motivation that cleaning positions have offered.
In general I am seeking employment as a roustabout (cleaner/kitchenhand/bar attendant/office administrator) and offshore proves to be a great challenge for me at this stage of my life. I have a quiet but easy going personality and can happily adapt in isolated areas.
