-A good knowledge of quality control processes (I was responsible for implementing quality control department where I worked)

-A very good ability in understanding orders and in communicating with the O.O.W, in matters relevant to watch keeping duties, in a clear and concise manner. I also demonstrate a good knowledge of Shipboard terms & definitions.

-Keeping look out duties well, performing hand steering, studied operating of navigational aids , monitoring and plotting vessel’s position by different means.

-Good ability to maintain a steady course (within acceptable limits) having regard to the area of navigation and prevailing sea state.

-Promptly detecting & reporting the approximate bearing of a sound signal, light or other object in degrees or points to the O.O.W.

-Good knowledge of Emergency duties and alarm signals.

-Good knowledge of pyrotechnic distress signals; satellite EPIRBs and SARTs.
