Journeyman aluminum welder

Objective


Seeking a position with a company in a industrial environment where I can apply my numerous welding skills.


Experience


TSE International, Inc. January 2009-July 2009: Welder fitter, fitted prefabricated parts for steel cable reels and industrial trailers used for stringing fiber optic and power lines. Then I welded the parts together.


Education


Graduated at Leesville High school in Leesville, La. May 1979.

Completed US Navy Hull maintenance technician "A" school where I learned the basics of sheetmetal work, pipefitting, welding, structural fitting, etc. August 1979

Completed US Navy Advanced Welding school, High pressure plate and pipe welding, obtained 4955 welding code. 1990


Certification


While at GE Harris Harmon Railway technologies I certified by xray weld test in steel and 4043 series aluminum. August 1996-May 2000.

Red River Army Depot, US Army federal civil service, I certified both armor steel and 5356 series aluminum. November 2000-November 2008.


Skils


Skilled with Arc gouging equipment, cutting torches, plasma arc cutting torches, Shop equipment such as drill presses, bandsaws, Hydralic shears, etc. Also skilled using power tools such as pnematic drills, grinders, etc. I read blueprints and technical manuals and need little or no supervision.


 


Operate overhead cranes, forklifts
