Experience
• Provide daily remote system administration supports for Linux, PCs, Linux servers and workstations for oil seismic vessels in Gulf of Mexico, South America, Northern Sea and Asia Pacific Ocean.
• Security monitoring and updates for Linux servers and Windows running Fedora Cores, SUSE Linux , RedHat and CentOS..
• Install/Configure/Upgrade/Maintain system hardware and software
• Have implemented a reliable industrial strength and widely recognized automated remote network system backup solutions for all seismic vessels on oceans using open source AMANDA without costing company any investments in software purchasing and licensing.
• Purchasing and configuring FC RAID Disk Array Storages as NAS for vessel Linux and Window computer backups.
• Perl/shell scripting for automating offshore network backups.
• Shell scripting for automated offshore and onshore SQL data transferring to third countries.
• Developing virtualization and HA (High Availability) solutions for server (UNIX and Windows) consolidations on vessels via NetApp and VMware ESX.
• Shell scripting for automated all vessels’ PC virus updates via a centralized virus update server.
