• Design, develop software, utilities and services for in house applications and windows utilities for Coperon's in-house innovative set of e-business software engines package called iPartner for electrical & lightning industries including key features like multiple product search mechanisms, product configuration tools, calculation tools, personalization tools, business intelligence and authoring tools. Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft Visual Basic 6 (Ms VB6), Ms SQL Server 2000, Ms Commerce Server 2000, XML, XSL, XSLT and DHTML
• Insurance Web application: Developed and contributed to the design of this complete .NET insurance project using C# (C Sharp) and ASP.NET with Ms SQL Server 2000 with DHTML (Dynamic HTML) which includes 3 major modules; an Address book, Products and Offers module.
• MyWorkspace: a software engine which can be plugged into other existing and or new web sites/ applications using XML, Ms Visual Basic 6 (VB6) and Ms SQL Server2000 and implemented using ASP and XSL with DHTML. Its main goal is to give the users an electronic library where they can store preset queries, attach documents to be shared with other users, generate their own set of objects to have for instance a custom catalog or project.
• Implementation and developing Commerce server 2000 (CS2K) database schema using XML and CS2K Business Desk where assurance of compatibility, data integrity and data types were essential.
• A program for converting and validating Excel sheets that contained specific data into XML documents to be imported into CS2K using XML, VB6 and Ms Office XP.
• Configuration and set up of development machines with configuration of Internet Information Services (IIS) where permissions and project integrity have to be maintained with backups of projects using Visual Source Safe.
• Modular product description: according to properties selected by the user, the description of each product is generated dynamically from database using XML and VB6 COM object.
• Beside the design and development of CLOVER we had to create user controls (a .NET feature) plus customized certain ASP.NET server controls to implement our needs.

Main responsibilities were to design, develop, integrate and manage desktop application with database backend under Microsoft Windows platforms. Technologies & descriptions of each projects are as follows:
• Calling Card System and Fax over the Internet server under using DIALOGIC telephony hardware/ equipment and special telephony ActiveX tools (OCX) with Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft SQL server. Based on inter-process communications between processes using sockets in a multithreaded environment. The system is connected to server phone lines, where the application answers customers’ calls; authenticate each by their phone number and password and upon successful authentication the system acknowledge the customer of corresponding balance and proceeds to either provide user with international call or enabling the user to send fax to any destination worldwide.
Logs of the time of call/ fax are always triggered into the database with on-line billing.
• Check Scanning & Archiving system with extensive backup and redundancy utilities which enables dynamic rebuilding of databases and indexes in case of database corruption. Used a special Double sided scanner with a MICR reader for checks . Program was also responsible of moving images to optical backup media for archiving purposes with utilities that provide options for the checking of space availability and re-indexing of references. Wang/Kodak libraries were used as imaging controls with many other imaging features have been worked out to provide printing more than one image per page, images compression and image rotations. As for check printing we used MICR fonts.
This application were in use in major banks in Lebanon and processed over 2000-checks/ day
• Automation of the personnel department of American University of Beirut (AUB). This system ran a network of 3 workstations (WIN95) connected to their respective scanners and to a database and image server (NT) and a CDROM jukebox. This application used the Watermark Imaging library and Ms ACCESS for indexing and information storage system. A special utility for the burning of images and records on CD-ROMs has been written.
• Telephony billing systems with QUICKEN (accounting program) Design & using Microsoft Access, Ms SQL and Visual Basic & other applications like Microsoft Office.
• Developed a Web Interface to interact with an Ms Access database using ODBC and Ms ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) with triggers and stored procedures in Ms SQL server.
