Oversees an established international marine import/export business, offering wholesale and factory direct marine supplies, including electronics, engine components, fishing gear and clothing. Implements international shipping procedures. Services unique markets including Middle East and Africa. Sales volume: over $3 million, annually.



International & Domestic Market General Manager, Adolphus Yacht Exporters, Inc., Dania Beach, May 1994 –June 1995

Responsible for office operations, sales, purchasing and customer service. Re-structured internal sales and service operations, increasing cost effectiveness by 40 percent. Increased sales, by developing a boat “repo” program in conjunction with the banks. Customer satisfaction increased dramatically via an innovative dockside marine service.



Sales Representative, Cypress Harbor Marine, Inc., Pompano Beach, December 1992–May 1994

Promoted, publicized and represented Hydra Sport and Angler Boats. Changed company from retailer to wholesaler, increasing profits by 30 percent. Achieved highest gross sales for Angler Boats, Miami International Boat Show, 1994.

First company to export boats to consumers in the European market. Implemented unique market-driven advertising campaigns. Increased profit margin by 50 percent, selling an average of 20 boats a month.

Skils


My sales education was developed many years ago. I developed the rest of my sales skills through trial and error. I saw a demand that was not being filled internationally in the industry 15 years ago and realized how to fill that void. This involved through research, foreign markets and their specific customer needs for their areas.


 


I enjoy the diversity sales and marketing offer through different communities and countries. It is highly fulfilling to me when solving a clients problems in order to close a sale, and then getting that sale. When others say it can't be done I'm the one that anaylzes the obstacles to find where success can be had.



On a personal note I'm very involved with youth and adult sports leagues in my community. I find more enjoyment outside on my off time then sitting in front of a tv. I love meeting new people and seeing how they live. I have no fear of travel to anywhere no matter how remote. I've been told by many that and have a great sense of humor.
