Experience
22 Years of challenging work experience as Executive Officer (Navigation Specialist) in the Indian Navy with direct responsibility of managing all aspects of maritime assets and Operations. Commanded two warships and a shore organisation. Managed personnel across cultures from multiple locations with 85% of entire career served in ships. Handled and steered a spectrum of activities encompassing operations, whole gamut of HR functions including training, welfare and multiple project execution. Possesses the experience of navigating an individual ship as well as Fleet of ships through important harbours/ channels around the world like Suez Canal, Malacca straits, Dardennells strait etc.
Prominent Appointments
• 2007. Presently in Command of a Pilotless Target Aircraft Squadron with assets worth 100 crores and staff of 50 personnel.
• 2004-2005. Command of a 300 crore Frigate with integral helicopter and with a staff of above 300 personnel. Sailed extensively including a call on Port of Djibouti.
• 2001-2002. Fleet Navigating Officer of Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy (Head- Maritime Operations). Conceptualised, planned and executed multidimensional maritime operations for the whole Fleet off the Eastern Sea board of India, extending upto Malacca Straits and South China Sea.
• 1998-99. Command of a 100 crore anti submarine corvette with a staff of above100 personnel. Sailed extensively.
• Executive Officer. Four appointments as Executive Officer, ie. Second in Command of various ships based in different major harbours of the country.
• Operations Officer. Four appointments as Navigating & Operations officer on board various ships including a Destroyer and a Frigate.
