Title: Studies on Scour around puducherry port breakwater
Institution: Department of Harbour and Ocean Engineering, AMET University, Chennai.
Description: The present study is including the available data on current waves & bathymetry along the puducherry coastal region in order to understand the scour behavior due to presence of breakwater along the puducherry coastal region. The scour depth & the time scale of the scour are estimated due to presence of break water along the puducherry coastal region. Finally the stability of scour protection is studied & the size of rock necessary to provide protection against significant damage with a 100 year returns of periods is estimated
