PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1. From Feb2010 to still working as Owner Representative
Hull Steel Inspector under BLUE OCEAN SHIP MANAGEMT. Work involved is New building VLOC at CSSC–Shanghai –China. ( At any given time 2 vloc’s in yard)
2. From January 2008 tofFeb 2010 as Owner Representative
Hull Steel Inspector under Marine Management Systems on Behalf of
BLUE OCEAN SHIP MANAGEMT. Work involved is VLCC conversion to VLOC at HRDD Shipyard –Shanghai –China. ( At any given time 3 vlcc’s in yard)
3. 1St June 2004 to December 2007 as Steel & Pipe supervisor &work preparator, at Metro Marine, a leading contracting company with Arab Ship building & Repair Yard Company (ASRY), Bahrain (ISO 9000 certified firm) which undertakes Structural, Piping, Mechanical ,Instrumentation and Electrical jobs. ¬¬¬
4. From 07th May 2003 to 20th May 2004 worked as a Trainee Supervisor (Fabrication shop) at Hosur steel industry pvt.ltd, India.
1. BLUE OCEAN SHIP MANAGEMENT
Major Responsibilities:-
Involved in Project Co-ordination and Inspection work carried out for the conversion of 250000 DWT VLCC to VLOC ( HRDD Shipyard Shanghai-China)
Nature of Jobs & Responsibilities:
• Daily planning and co-ordination of structural and Piping work carried out in yard.
• Associated with the fabrication, Assembly, Erection, fairing, welding and dry survey etc during the construction of Hull Structures.
• Coordinating the Dry Survey with Surveyor and Yard QC team
• Verification of Hull structures with the drawings (Dimensional and Visual) both on skid and berth.
• Making documentation showing progress in Daily and Weekly basis.
• Total site Management in the absence of Superintendent.
2. MetroMarine W.L.L (Bahrain)
Major Responsibilities:-
Carried out Structural steel repair and new ship buildings in various types of marine vessels (around 300 ships). These include Cargo Oil Tankers, Bulk carriers, Container vessels, LPG Vessels, Rigs, Barges, Dredgers.
Nature of Jobs & Responsibilities:
As Supervisor:-
• Identification of jobs onboard with class surveyors as per repair specification such as Hull, Internals, chain lockers & other structural&piping works in onboard ships.
• Estimation of material requirements.
• Preparing cutting plan for plate consumption with minimum wastage.
• Supervision of jobs in progress (fabrication& Erection), follow up action and maintain progress records.
• Dealing with class Surveyors like DNV, LRS, IRS, ABS, BV& NKK for final approval.
As Work preparator:-
• Preparation & Detailing all types of fabrication drawings
• Selection of materials for the repair as per specification & class of vessels,
• Preparing all documentation like final description of steel repair as per yard standards,
• Preparing the Bill of Materials & Invoice –Conversant with International Repair standards.
