Under the supervision of the Lead Senior Wheel Vehicle Mechanic responsible for Troubleshooting, Servicing, Repairing, and Re-Checking all the Vehicles under the team’s assigned Scope and level of repair. Performs PMCS 1/3, PMCS 2/3, And Annual Service. Performs the full range of organizational level repair works on all types and Models of U.S. Military Tactical Wheel Vehicles powered by internal combustion Engines. Types of vehicles varies is size from 1.5 Ton to 22 ½ Ton,FMTV,LMTV,915,916A1,A2,A3series,998,997,1025,1026,1113,1114,1151,1152,1109,1142,1145 all Humvee modelsTroubleshoots and repairs all model Power and Drive trains, Light and Heavy category and include multi-wheel drive vehicles. Determines the correct method to use in troubleshooting and repair of complete vehicle system. Repairs include but are not limited to, Electric starter motors, Hydraulic System, MHE, Cranes, Booms, Hoists, Steering System and Brake System. Uses Test Equipment and Special Tools to complete Service and maintenance Tasks. Work with and provide Technical guidance to Junior and Helper mechanics as required. Performed various port missions, recovery missions. Detailed to DS/GS Wheel Shop, performing duties of direct support maintenance on all kinds of tactical vehicles, replacing Engins, Oil Seals, Cross Members, Transfer Seals, Transfer Case, Cabins, Performs other duties as assigned
