Provide effective organization and control of vessel and yard operations during a designated shift period in order to meet planned objectives. Supervise for efficient allocation of shift operational staff and the effective utilization of equipment resources to match the operational requirements of the terminal. Successfully docking and sailing of vessel during shift through communicating with the pilot via radio. Liaising with the Control Tower continually to review, identify and recommend improved operation while working the vessel. Report and advise the Control Tower of any accidents or damage to vessel by preparing and filing a report using the system software. Ensuring that the discharging and loading programs are properly executed as prepared by the planning team. Supervise and motivate operational staff by monitoring performance to ensure that optimal potential is achieved.

Daily contact via radio and telephone with Service Engineer Management to communicate and receive equipment status information. Liaison with the Control Tower and Empties Marshall regarding deficiencies in the Block Stack Operations. Coordinate with steamship lines, forklift operators, and vessel planners for the successful loading and unloading of containers. Assist team members to securely store containers in the warehouse as well as the marine yard. Write daily reports to management on the productivity of vessel as well as damage reports and action taken.
