Prepared and filed all customs entries, 3461, 7512, 7501, AAPT’s, and prepared each statement. Also responsible for trafficking, delivery orders, USDA packets, fumigations, and customer service, accounts payable, and receivable.

Responsible for all consolidated shipments, inbound, T&E, i.e., customer service, communications with truckers, and both accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities included, picking up documents from airlines, U.S. Customs, S.S. Lines, etc. Exchanging documents from broker to broker. Checking post office boxes, contacting brokers regarding freight releases, correcting rejected entries at broker’s request, data entry, and filing.

Ms. Speck has over 12 years experience in fundamentals of customs brokerage and freight forwarding. She has managed critical relationships with service providers, including classification of all import & export products. Ms. Speck has coordinated activities with US Customs and corporate officials as required for proper import & export clearances, has consistently assessed areas of risk and exposure, and has developed solutions to ensure corrective action is taken. She has routinely been trusted to monitor current, future, and potential legislation or regulation affecting classification, trade programs, or duty impact (WCO, WTO, and ITC). Ms. Speck has also supported customs entry filing processes, and analyzed and drove solutions to gain operating efficiencies. Those areas include classification, evaluation, country of origin and qualification for special trade programs.


 


Additionally, Ms. Speck has performed post entry audits on US Customs entry summaries to ensure that the items reported to US Customs are accurate, and she has conducted internal investigations and voluntary reporting violations. She has experience auditing certificates of origins and affidavits for special trade programs that ensure all Special Trade Programs certificates and affidavits are correct, complete, and in compliance with the specific program (CAFTA, ATDPEA, & QIZ). She has established and maintained import and export compliance policies and procedures, including audit and training programs.
