3. Standby in the Keppel Tuas shipyard on Rotating Turret Mooring & Linear Winch repairs, complete survey work to FPSO Nganhurra in Singapore.

2. Carry-out CAP Surveys onboard FPSO Armada Perkasa in the Keppel Benoi Shipyard in Singapore.

1. Specialist Surveyor to carry-out survey work during the construction, testing & commissioning of the Woodside Energy Ltd, Enfield Project newbuilding FPSO Hull and Topsides at Samsung Heavy Industry Shipyard, Koje, Korea.

Duties include Hull Structure surveys, Hydro & Air testing of structure & piping, witness commissioning of equipment / machinery to Lloyds Register “Floating Offshore Installation at a Fixed Location Rules & Regs.

Statutory Surveys include Fire & Gas Detection Systems, Lifesaving Equipment, Lifting Appliances, (Cranes, Runway beams, Elevator & Lifting Lugs), working to IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL & Flag Rules & Regs.

Verification of the Topsides as the Third Party Surveyor to monitor construction, witness commissioning, review documentation and confirm the Client is in compliance to the required Codes, Standards & Regulations.

Carried out Vetting & Delivery Survey onboard “Front Commerce” in all Water Ballast Tanks, Cofferdams, Main Deck, Machinery Spaces, and Accommodation. Compiling delivery survey reports.

Novoship (UK) Ltd, London July – Dec 2003

2. Worked on 88 dry-docking, onboard M/T Grigoriy Nesterenko, work includes Major Oil Company upgrade to CAP 1 status, 300 tons steel renewal, shotblasting & painting double bottoms, LR Intermediate Survey work, at the Novorossiyk Shiprepair Yard, Black Sea, Russia.

1. Carried out 42 dry-docking, onboard M/T Akademik Vereshchagin, work included Major Oil Company upgrade work to CAP 1 status, 43 tons steel renewal, shotblasting & painting of double bottoms, DNV 3rd Special Survey work, (for 2004), at the Gdansk Stocznia Remontowa Yard, Poland.

2. Carried out Condition Survey in the water ballast tanks, double bottoms, void spaces, cargo decks onboard the Stena Line Ro Ro Mont Ventoux on the Tunis - Marseilles run

1. Carried out newbuilding first year guarantee condition survey in all water ballast tanks, double bottoms, void spaces, cargo decks onboard the Stena Line Ro Ro Cetam Massilia, Marseilles – Tunis.

Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) Monaco Feb 2002 – April 2003

Far East Hull Supt working in Vietnam on a 5th Special Survey for offshore FPSO Rang Dong 1, co-ordinating Rope-Access team on UT Gauging of Cargo & Water Ballast tanks and ABS surveys, compiling Repair Specifications and sending-out tenders for steel repairs, scaffolding etc. Supervising scaffolders & steel repairs offshore in Cargo Oil Tanks, Water Ballast tanks, and engine room tanks / areas with local Vietnamese sub-contract labour.

3. Carried out 50 day dry-docking, onboard the Mighty Servant 3 including L.R. Intermediate survey and 90 tons of steel renewals for the life extension project at the Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard, Vietnam.

2. Carried out 33 day dry-docking, onboard the Dock Express 10 including L.R. Intermediate survey and 55 tons of steel renewals at the Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard, Vietnam.

1. Carried out 47-day dry-docking, including L.R. Intermediate Survey and 100 tons of steel renewals for the life extension project onboard the Mighty Servant 1 at the Daewoo- Mangalia Shipyard, Romania.

3. At ASRY, Bahrain for 28 day dry-docking on bottom shell & bulbous bow repair, water ballast and cargo tank repairs on Products Tanker ‘Yamilah’ for the Abu Dhabi National Tanker Co on behalf of Tritec Marine Consultants / NMM.

2. Carried out Structural Condition Survey in the Water Ballast tanks, Double Bottoms, Void Spaces, Cargo decks onboard the RoRo’s Stena Clipper, Stena Timer and Stena Tender in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and U.S.A.

BAe Systems Marine, Barrow-in-Furness, England Mar 2000 – Jan 2001

Project Hull Engineer working at the BAe Systems Marine Barrow shipyard carrying out a structural condition survey throughout their newbuilding vessel (AO 01) RFA Wave Knight, an Auxiliary Oiler for the Defence Procurement Agency. Other duties include working in conjunction with Class to clear structural steel blocks, tanks and compartments for acceptance, supervising a small repair team working through tanks and compartments carrying out rectification work, also carried out survey work on the sister ship (AO 02) Wave Ruler at the BAe Glasgow Govan Yard.

Acomarit (UK) Ltd, Glasgow Oct – Dec 1999

Seconded to Acomarit Canada in Montreal to carryout Condition and Assessment Surveys on four Canada Steamship Lines Great Lake vessels. The surveys where to assess and inspect the structural condition of the ships, write up dry-docking and steel renewal specifications for the ship-repair winter lay-up programme.

3. Special Project of 320t Steelwork Reinforcement to 8 water ballast tanks and 4metre extension to the port and starboard casings, including shotblasting and painting, onboard the Mighty Servant 1,at the Astilleros de Cadiz shipyard, Spain.

Carried out 160t of steel renewals to 8 Sponson sections bottom shell plating, longitudinal stiffening and webframe reinforcement due to sea pounding damage, 10t steel renewal to water ballast tanks, Lloyds Reg. third special survey, sea damaged side shell plating / framing and dry-dock of mv Dock Express 12 at the Mipo Dockyard, Korea.

1. Converted Heavy Lift ship “Super Servant 3” to Yacht Carrier, supervision/inspection of fabrication and installation of side dock-walls and centre catwalks, 170 tons steel renewals in 17 water ballast tanks for the life extension project / ABS Intermediate survey work, and dry-docking at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Korea.

Carried out inspection/supervision of DNV Intermediate survey work, 89 structural door opening fracture repairs, general steelwork deck and bulkhead fracture / maintenance repairs, stainless steel weld cladding to Kort Nozzles and dry-docking, onboard Semi-submersible msv ‘IOLAIR’, at the Cammell Laird Shipyard, Liverpool.

Carried out inspection/supervision, Jumbo-ising, (30metre mid-body elongation and 5metre port & starboard widening by sponsons), Lloyds Reg. third special survey, 85T ballast tank steel renewal, life extension project and Dry-docking onboard vessel “Mighty Servant 1”, (now the largest heavy lift ship), at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Korea.

6. Life extension project (50 days), at Chenxi shipyard China, steel renewals of 250t throughout water ballast tanks onboard heavy lift vessel ‘Swift’.
