Position: Fleet Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Fleet tracking and management. { using Blue Trax software and FM Locator }

- Generating exceptional reports to check on driving violations i.e. over speeding, night driving, harsh acceleration, harsh braking, over revving and checking on No go zones.

- Handling fuel management and conducting fleet usage rate analyses

- Support and configuration of GPS based Automatic Vehicle location (AVL) devices.

- Analysis and development of trip/journey plans to simplify and improve fleet processes.

- Determining performance standards through induction and training of drivers.



Sep 2007:

MULTIPLE HAULIERS (E.A) LTD

Position: (Trainee)

Responsibilities:

- Networking, Hardware & Software installations and maintenance

- Fleet tracking using the VDO Fleet manager system using GPS and GPRS/GSM



May 2006– April 2007:

I.Total – kenGen Power Plant

Position: Depot assistant

Responsibilities:

- Handling receipts of LS/AGO (off-loading operation)

- Handling supplies to KenGen (AGGREKO facilities)

- Managing fuel stock levels

- Liaising with the Head off. on the progress of operations



II.LPG Plant

Responsibilities:

- Operating the carousel machine

- Cylinder inspection

- Off-loading of bulk LPG



III.Bitumen Plant

Responsibilities:

- Preparation of bitumen (Cutbacks and Emulsions)

- Managing bitumen product stocks using SAP system

Responsibilities:

- Fleet tracking using the VDO Fleet manager system using GPS and GPRS

- Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems for established networks.

- Install, configure and maintain network components.

- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource

Responsibilities:

- Staking-out of the road alignment using a Total station

- Geo-referencing of Road Control points to the main network

- Land Acquisition exercise for the affected land parcels along the road

- Plotting of the parcels and road alignment in AutoCAD for compensation work

- Acreage computations for compensation using AutoCAD

- Land surveying; traversing, preparation of field notes and survey computations

- Cartography; preparation of cadastre plans and deed plans.

- Topographic surveying for trading canters along the road
