07/07 – 03/08 First Mate – As a first mate on a 53-foot catamaran, responsible for day-to-day maintenance of
the boat, washing, sweeping, washing towels and life vests, bartend and bring drinks to
passengers on charters, prepare and serve food to guests, hoist sails on charters, tack & jibe the
boat, dock and throw off the dock, splice lines, learned to epoxy and fiberglass, changed spark
plugs, changed gear and motor oil, learned to drive boat if something should happen to captain,
went through overboard drills, fire drills, and went through Coast Guard inspection, was available
to do anything as assigned by Captain, as well as provide customer service to passengers.

11/05 – 07/07 Assistant Manager – Responsible for the day-to-day management of the store and the sales associates, including opening and closing the store, setting the goals for the day in order for the entire store to make our weekly quota, making deposits to the bank, creating a plan of action of all things needing to be accomplished and delegating to each person what he or she is in charge of. Receiving and processing shipment, managing inventory and stock, preparing merchandise for transfers and ensuring that it is properly sent. Also titled Accessory Manager; with the responsibility of processing every accessory for the store as it comes in shipment, completing a checklist every week; making sure that each item has proper security tags, proper merchandise tags for inventory, and is in the correct place in the store. In charge of creating displays of merchandise in order to increase sales, such as putting certain outfits together on mannequins and displaying the clothing in a fashion that is more appealing to the customer. Additional duties include maintenance of the sales floor and stock room, providing customer service to people in the store, assisting them in finding the right shoe, piece of clothing, or accessory for them, and ensuring that the customer has an enjoyable experience.

different types of motors/sailboat equipment and selling parts, assigning docks to boaters,
inventory of merchandise, training new employees, opening and closing part store, counting
register drawers and making deposits, running store when part manager was not available.

Summers Summer Dock Attendant and Office Assistant – As a dock attendant: assigning docks
2005/2006 to customers, assisting boaters when docking their boats, teaching new boaters the in’s and out’s of the boating experience, pumping fuel, measuring fuel tanks, maintenance of the docks and gas house; including sweeping, vacuuming, washing docks, inventory of merchandise. Additional duties included assisting boaters with the maintenance of their boats and assisting mechanics with their daily duties; including power washing, and cleaning up the boats. Office assistant: receive and process payments, responsible for maintaining the books, writing checks, processing invoices for maintenance work and fuel house charges, maintaining an organized system of keeping records, assisting the owner in correspondence to customers, making deposits to the bank, creating packets of information for the boaters, receiving phone orders and answering any questions callers may have about the marina.
