Performed major structural overhaul on Boeing aircraft 727,737,747,757,767,777, and completion of Global Express business class aircraft. Installed custom interior and performed structural installation of airframe parts using blueprints. Performed pre and post flight inspections and serviced all essential systems prior to take off. Made repairs using advanced composite materials, and damage to flight control surfaces and exterior panels. Installed over 30 Hush mod kit instillations on the FedEx Boeing 727 to comply with the FAA, and EPA Noise reduction requirements.
US NAVY Jacksonville, FL Aviation Structural Mechanic 9/1990 - 4/1997
Performed Aircraft maintenance on the F/A-18C Hornet and SH-60 Helicopter. Performed
pre and post flight inspections, and serviced all essential systems prior to take off. Made repairs to flight control surfaces, wing panels, and structural airframe, utilizing advanced composite material, and structural repair techniques. Performed vibration analysis on SH-60 helicopter main and tail rotor blades, using vibration analysis test equipment on ground and during check flights. Removed and replaced hydraulic servos, flight controls, and pneumatic systems. Performed flight control rigging, and landing gear rigging and functional test. Qualified Aircraft plane captain responsible for the post and pre-flight inspections to ensure aircraft worthiness and safe for flight. Quality assurance inspector responsible for the inspection of junior mechanics work and proper use of aircraft structural repair manuals, and maintenance manuals.
